About the Seamstress
The Beginning
I got into sewing and costuming about 15
years ago when I joined an historical
recreation group. There I discovered that if I
did not learn to sew rather quickly, it was
going to get really expensive rather quickly!
The Continuing
After a while, many of my friends started
asking me to make them things. I started my
custom costuming at that time. When I got
married, I constructed all of the outfits for
my wedding, and realized that I loved doing
weddings! Sterling Stitches was born!
Current Endeavors
I enjoy designing and constructing custom
bridal gowns. I love making veils! Bridal
parties are easily done.

I excel in Medieval and Renaissance costumed
weddings, and wedding parties, specializing in
recreation and historical society costuming.

I also do costuming for various Sci Fi groups,
Halloween, and other  costume affairs!
Please contact me for a consultation and
quote! I work out of the Shoreline area, just
north of Seattle, WA. Custom veils can be
made and shipped anywhere. Custom clothing
requires fittings.

Costuming History
I have done costuming for the Burning Man
celebration in the Black Rock Desert for
several different groups of people.

I have also done work on two independent
films done in the Seattle Area.

I have done costuming, and clothing
reproduction, for the Society for Creative
Anachronism for many years. I have even
constructed a canvas tent for use by my
husband for the group!

Weddings and wedding parties remain my main
source of business, and my favorite to do.
